Seven injured in elephant attack in East Singhbhum

Seven persons, including a pregnant woman and two minor children, were injured in an attack by wild elephants at Geruwa Tola in East Singhbhum district early today.

Two men and three women were rushed to the M G M hospital here where they were undergoing treatment, Officer-in-Charge of Bodam police station Virendra Toppo said.

The condition of one of the injured was stated to be serious.

Two minor children also suffered minor injuries. They were released after first-aid in the local health centre.

Toppo said the victims were sleeping when the wild elephants struck.
