Seven persons were injured when two groups of political parties clashed at a village near Porayar in the district following a quarrel over defacating at the roadside, police said.

The injured were admitted to the Porayar Government hospital and four of them later referred to the government hospital here for further treatment.

An argument between two persons, belonging to two political parties, about defacating at the road side turned into a wordy duel and culminated into a clash.
