Seven persons were killed and 16 others injured when a truck ran over a wedding procession in Dungarpur district of Rajasthan, police said today.
The victims were part of a wedding procession and returning from a temple when the incident occurred last night in Bicchipura, they said.
Six of the deceased have been identified as Gautam, Lila, Deepesh, Kachru, Rahul and Dinesh and identity of one more is yet to be ascertained.
The truck driver fled from the spot and the vehicle has been seized, police said, adding, the injured were rushed to hospital.
