Seven persons were killed and 25 others, including some women, seriously injured when a Tamil Nadu government transport bus rammed a mini lorry at Vallam overbridge near here today, police said.
The deceased included the drivers of both the vehicles, police said.
All the injured were admitted to the medical college hospital here.
The bus was proceeding from Tiruppur to Kumbakonam with about 60 persons when it collided with the mini lorry.
The mini lorry was proceeding from here to Tiruchirappalli.
