Seven people arrested in connection with land grabbing case

The Anandapuram police arrested seven people including one Gudla Ramana for forcibly trespassing and occupying 38 cents of land belonging to P Satyanarayana Raju at Kallivanipalem area today.

ACP (Madhurawada) D Ravi Babu said that P Satyanarayana Raju, a resident of Seethammadhara area in the city purchased 26 cents land and another plot of 12 cents at the Kallivanipalem area in 2002 as per registration documents.

The police official said that Gudla Ramana, who is a resident of Kallivanipalem area in the city obtained a fraudulent general power of attorney (GPA) from D Kanakamma, D Srinu, D Ramu as well as U Devi and got the land registered the land at two places in his favour on July 29, 2015.
 

D Appala Guruvulu and D Rambabu helped Ramana for registering the land in Ramana's name, the police official said.

On September 21, this year Gudla Ramana and others occupied land belonging to Satyanarayana Raju and also threatened Satyanarayana Raju's brother-in-law Gopalakrishna Raju after he questioned Ramana's forcible landgrab, the police official said.

Responding to Satyanarayana Raju's complaint, the Anandapuram police arrested Ramana and six others on charges of landgrabbing, the police official said.
