Seven PLFI sympathizers held

The police arrested seven People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) sympathizers including a woman and seized arms in two areas of the naxal-hit Khunti district.

Superintendent of Police, Anis Gupta said Santosh Mishra and Jagdish Sahu, allegedly arms suppliers to the PLFI, were arrested during a search operation from near River Banai under Rania police station last night.

Five rifles and three mobile phones were seized from them, Gupta said.

In another incident, the security personnel arrested five persons including a woman from Giyarappa village under Khunti police station area allegedly for providing information to the ultra group Area Commander Shankar Gope about the police activities, he said.
 

The arrested persons were identified as Roshan Xavier Horo, Balka Sanga, Sao Sanga, Budhwa Tirkey and Anita Sanga alias Sumitra, Gupta added.
