The financial embezzlement came to light after PSPCL CMD K D Chaudhary ordered an enquiry into the irregularities that had taken place when the concerned officials did not get the work of installing power meters done at the department level but instead hired a private company contractor to do so.
The seven suspended officials are Executive Engineer N K Malik, Dinangar SDO Sucha Singh, Additional SDO Manmohan, Jit Ram , Banarsi Das , drafts man Manohar Lal and clerk Ashok Kumar, said PSPCL Engineer Jasbir Singh here today.
