A Mahila Court today sentenced a man to seven years rigourous imprisonment for raping a 13-year-old girl in Pollachi in 2010.
The prosecution case was that Arumugam of Makkinampatti, under the influence of liquor, had raped the girl staying in his construction shed when her parents had gone out for work in November 2010.
Judge M P Subramanaian also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on Arumugam.
