Seventeen Grandmasters, 35 International Masters and Women Grandmasters from 11 countries have confirmed to take part in the event that carries a total prize money of Rs 15.25 lakh, the highest of the country, with the first prize of Rs 3.01 lakh, a media release said today.
The countries represented would be hosts India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, USA, Nepal, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Hungary, Russia, Kazakhstan and the Philippines.
GM Alexei Aleksandrov (ELO 2606 ) will be the top seed from Belarus while GM B Adhiban (ELO 2555) will be the top seed from India.
