Several areas of Himchal Pradesh were today lashed by thunderstorm accompanied with showers, causing sharp fall in mercury.
The mercury dropped to 6 degrees Celsius at Kalpa while Manali and Keylong recorded a low of 6.6 degrees Celsius and 7.4 degrees Celsius.
Shimla registered minimum temperature at 12.4 degrees Celsius, followed by Bhuntar 13.5 degrees Celsius, Solan 14.4 degrees Celsius, Nahan 15.5 degrees Celsius, Dharamsala 16 degrees Celsius, Sundernagar 16.3 degrees Celsius and Una 21 degrees Celsius, a drop of three to five degrees.

The maximum temperatures dropped by three to five degrees and Una recorded a high of 37 degrees Celsius against 41.6 degrees Celsius yesterday while Nahan recorded maximum temperature at 33.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Sundernagar 32.9 degrees Celsius, Bhuntar 32.7 degrees Celsius, Dharamshala 29.4 degrees Celsius, Solan 28.4 degrees Celsius, Shimla 25 degrees Celsius and Kalpa21 degrees Celsius.
The local MeT office has predicted rains or thundershowers at many places in the state tomorrow and dry weather in the region for next five days from May 31 onwards.
