Unidentified persons today allegedly damaged idols of several deities in a temple of Lord Shiva, located near the Gau Shala in Qutubpur colony here, police said.
The incident came to light when few devotees visiting the temple noticed the damage and informed the police.
The incident took place on Thursday night, said a senior police officer adding that a case has been registered.
