Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of Rajasthan with the maximum temperature touching 45.4 degrees Celsius in Kota today, a MeT official said.
Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Churu recorded 45.2, 45 and 45 degrees Celsius each, followed by 44.8 degrees Celsius in Barmer, 44.7 degrees Celsius in Sriganganagar, 43.1 degrees Celsius in Jaipur, 42.9 degrees Celsius in Jodhpur, 42.5 degrees Celsius each in Ajmer and Pilani and 41.9 degrees Celsius in Dabok.
The minimum temperature was between 27 and 32 degrees Celsius in most of the cities across the state, the MeT said.
The department has warned of heat wave or dust storms at a few places in the state and predicted light rain or thunderstorms at isolated places in west Rajasthan, whereas the weather is likely to remain dry in east Rajasthan.
