"Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker says the popular sitcom may have gone off air in 2004, but it still feels like yesterday that she was walking down the sets of the show.

The 52-year-old actor, who played the spunky, brash columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the HBO show, said even after 20 years of portraying the character, it felt bizarre that the series was over, reported E! News.

"I think because I live in New York and I'm constantly walking on the streets where we filmed, it doesn't feel like a distant memory.

"So, 20 years, I'm not experiencing that feeling of that much time having passed because it's so alive and activeso many of those street corners. So, no, it's very hard to believe it's been that much time," Parker said.

Asked what her favourite memory was from the show, the actor said she had innumerable fond experiences, so it was difficult for her to pick just one.

She added, "But I think, in total, the experience of shooting on the streets of New York - places people had never shopped before or rediscovering locations, neighborhoods, streets, mews, alleyways - (and) shooting all night long with people that I really loved, in total, the whole experience is really my favorite."

Besides Parker, "SATC" also featured Cynthia Nixon, Kim Catrall and Kristin Davis in the lead.
