The police today busted an alleged sex racket in Bihar's capital and arrested five men, including a senior state government official, and a woman.
Acting on a tip off about the sex racket being run at a place under S K Puri police station, policemen posing as customers went to the spot and busted the racket, a release from Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj's office said.
Among those arrested was Anand Kumar Bardhan, Deputy Director in the Technical and Industry department, the release said.
Altogether 20 packets of condom, three liquor bottles and five packets of drugs used to treat erectile dysfunction and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) were seized from the spot.
The kingpin of the racket, Abhijit Kumar, who was among those arrested, said he used to bring girls from Nepal and West Bengal, the release said.
