Seychelles islands witnessed a surge of 120 per cent in arrivals of Indian tourists during the first quarter of 2015 against the corresponding period last year.
The sharp rise in arrivals from India can be attributed to innovative marketing tactics, educating and handholding the travel trade and commencement of direct flights between the two nations, Seychelles Tourism Board said in a release issued here.
Visa-on-arrival facility in the tropical island was another key factor that boosted tourist arrivals from India, it added.
