A State Food Corporation (SFC) district manager was arrested on graft charges by vigilance sleuths from Purnia in Bihar today.
Acting on a complaint by one Vijay Kumar, a Vigilance Investigation Bureau (VIB) team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Arun Shukla caught Arun Kumar Jha while he was allegedly accepting Rs 1.15 lakh bribe at his rented accommodation from Kumar, an official release said.
The SFC district manager had allegedly demanded demanded a bribe of Rs 1.30 lakh from Kumar and settled the deal at Rs 1.15 lakh for release of payment against outstanding bills, it said.

Jha was being brought to Patna for interrogation before his production before a designated vigilance court for judicial remand.
The vigilance department has so far laid 38 traps and arrested 40 officials on graft charge this year, the release said.
