About 30 activists of Students Federation of India were arrested today when they tried to stage a picketing near Town Hall here protesting against the "negligence" of Centre and Tamil Nadu governments to find a solution to the agitation by farmers from this state in Delhi for the last 17 days.

The farmers were agitating to meet their various demands, which include drought relief package of Rs 40,000 crore and farm loan waiver.

The SFI activists squatted on the middle of the road resulting in disruption of traffic for nearly one hour.

They raised slogans in support of farmers and condemned the attitude of the Governments for not not taking steps to find solution to their problems, police said.
