In a statement issued here, SGPC President Avtar Singh Makkar informed that the Committee has initially provided Rs 50 lakh to families of cancer victims.
"Treatment of this disease is a huge burden for the poor families as it is a costly affair. Many cancer patients are dying as their families are unable to afford the expenses," he said.
