Shiromani Gurudwara Parbhandhak Committee (SGPC), a mini-parliament of Sikhs, today passed its annual budget here amounting to Rs 993.23 crore for 2015-16.
The annual budget of the socio-religious body was passed by its executive committee which met here under the leadership of its president Avtar Singh Makkar.
The current fiscal budget exceeds that of last year's budget by 9.74 per cent.
This budget allocated Rs 59 crore for general board fund, Rs 43.13 crore for trust fund, Rs 31 crore for education fund, Rs 7.5 crore for printing press, Rs 67 crore for religion promotion committee, Rs 603 crore for Gurudwara Act Section-85, Rs 182 crore for educational institutions run by the body, Makkar said.
