Disappointed with performance of the AAP government, a group of activists today said they would form a 'shadow Cabinet' which will hold the Delhi ministers accountable and keep a tab on the real issues of the people.
The proposal was floated by Jai Nath Mishra of Chhaya Mandti Mandal (CMM) at a press conference here. Mishra claimed to have campaigned for AAP before the elections.
"The shadow cabinet members, who will be selected by separate committees formed for this purpose, will not only hold the ministers accountable but also keep tab on real issues being faced the people," Mishra said.

Mishra said that although it was being launched in Delhi, they would spread out across the country and would also extend it to the level of the Union Cabinet.
According to a concept paper released by the group, a shadow minister will keep track of the work, performance and efficiency of the ministry he will be assigned.
"He will further oversee, if the public funds are being spent properly and would simultaneously update the public on the same," it said.
