After campaigning extensively for the Assembly polls in five states, BJP chief Amit Shah reached the temple town of Somnath in Gujarat on Wednesday evening.
Shah is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of a tourist walkway to be built on the coast of Somnath at a cost of Rs 45 crore.
"Amit Shah ji reached Somnath today evening. He will the lay foundation stone of a project tomorrow morning," BJP Gujarat spokesperson Harshad Patel said.
The 1,500-metre long walkway with street furniture will be built by the Tourism Department of the Centre under the Prasad Scheme, a release from Somnath temple trust said.
Shah led the BJP's poll campaign in the five states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram.
While polling was held in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram last month, the election in Rajasthan and Telangana ended on Wednesday.
