Gupta was elected the head of ABC at a meeting held here while Syed Mahmood Ahmad of ITC Limited was chosen as the Deputy Chairman of the Bureau for the year 2012-2013.
Ahmad is Executive Vice President (Marketing) of ITC, an Advertiser Member on the Bureau's Council of Management.

Advertisers representatives on the Council are Ahmad, Ravi Pisharody (Tata Motors Ltd), Debabrata Mukherjee (Coca Cola India Pvt. Ltd) and Anil Dua (Hero MotoCrop Ltd), according to a press release.
Advertising Agencies Representatives' Shashidhar Sinha, Universal McCann Erickson (India) Pvt. Ltd, is the new Honorary Secretary, Madhukar Kamath of Mudra Communications Pvt. Ltd is the new Honorary Treasurer.
Vikram Sakhuja (Group M Media India Pvt. Ltd) and Srinivasan K Swamy (R K Swamy BBDO Pvt. Ltd) are the Advertising Agencies representatives while Hormuzd Masani is the Secretary General, the release said.
