BJP lawmaker Shanta Kumar and Himachal Food Supply Minister Kishan Kapoor will launch the Centre's flagship Ayushman Bharat-National Health Protection Mission (AB-NHPM) here at a district-level programme Sunday.
The ambitious scheme, which was renamed the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan (PMJAY), aims to provide a coverage of Rs five lakh per family annually, benefiting more than 10 crore poor families.
The scheme will be launched countrywide by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Jharkhand on Sunday.
