JD(U) president Sharad Yadav today termed his own party candidate a "party hopper".

Addressing an election rally at Gayghat, Yadav castigated JD(U) candidate from Muzaffarpur Lok Sabha seat Vijendra Chaudhary over his habit of switching sides.

"Ab aaya unth pahar ke niche (Hindi idiom meaning someone who has come to his senses)," he said poking fun at Chaudhary who was standing beside him.

Chaudhary had recently switched to JD(U) from LJP after it aligned with BJP. Earlier he was with RJD and also won as an independent in the Assembly elections from Muzaffarpur. He was given a JD(U) ticket from the seat to take on Akhilesh Singh of Congress and Ajay Nishad of BJP.

The JD(U) President also made comments on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar saying he made Chaudhary as well as RJD chief Lalu Prasad "big" leaders but both of them failed to come out of "politics of casteism.
