He was in the city to promote his upcoming film 'Ferrari Ki Sawaari', which is about father-son relationship.
"Comedy roles are okay but I like serious role which touches hearts of the people. People like such roles and I am comfortable in doing such roles with learning from theatre," Joshi told reporters here.
"Ferrari Ki Sawari is about how a father can go to any extent to fulfil his kid's dream," he said.
Joshi said this was an important film for him because after '3 Idiots' he focused only on this project, which is also his first solo lead film.
Directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, the film is slated to be released on June 15.
