Sharpshooter wanted in attempt to murder cases nabbed

A sharp-shooter with a penchant for flaunting flashy apparel and wanted in two attempt to murder cases has been arrested by the crime branch of the Delhi Police.

The police identified the accused as 30-year-old Abhishek Yadav, who was also involved in extortion.

According to police, Class XII pass out Yadav was fond of "wearing branded apparel, flaunting illicit weapons and wandering in a group, just to portray himself as a 'Dada' (Don)."

The probe agency said that a number of suspected hideouts in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana were were raided and the accused was nabbed with a country-made pistol and one live cartridge on July 7 on a tip-off.
 

"An FIR under various sections of the Arms Act was registered and during interrogation, Yadav accepted his role in both the cases of attempt to murder," the police said.
