Shashank Srivastava appointed CEO of QFC Authority

Srivastava was the acting CEO of the QFC Authority, which he had joined in April 2006.

Qatar's Minister of Economy and Finance Yousef Hussain Kamal said: "The QFC Authority plays a central role in the growth of Qatar's financial sector and the realisation of our national development strategy.

"Shashank Srivastava's appointment as CEO and Board Member recognises the solid progress Doha made while he was acting CEO towards becoming the region's leading financial centre."

OFC Authority Managing Director Abdulrahman Ahmad Al-Shaibi said Srivastava has played a central role in the formation and implementation of the QFC Authority's strategy of focusing on the hubs of asset management, reinsurance and captive insurance.

 

Srivastava, who has completed MBA from the Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, and BCom (H) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi, has 16 years of global experience in the strategy consulting and investment industries.

Prior to joining the QFC Authority, he worked in the strategy department of Dubai International Financial Centre and was Assistant Vice President at Abraaj Capital. He has also worked for Swiss Re and Prudential in the UK.
