Shashi Kumar appointed head of IGNFA

Senior officer Shashi Kumar was today appointed Director of Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA).

The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved the appointment of Kumar to the post of Director of IGNFA, a Dehradun-based premier training institute for Indian Forest Service officers, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training said.

Kumar will take over from Vinod Kumar, who will superannuate on April 30, it said.

Shahsi Kumar, a 1980 batch IFS officer of Union Territories cadre, is currently the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) in Arunachal Pradesh.
