In an apparent hint at Team Anna, Sinha said "some people have said something about some candidates. But they should come forward with all facts and there should be transparency."
Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal had demanded an independent inquiry into allegations against Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and 14 other ministers.
"If there is any allegations against somebody then I think it is better that he should come clean against these allegations," the actor turned politicial, who was present at the Clean India campaign at Qutab Minar, said.
"However," he hastened to add "it is not my allegations. I respect Pranabda and (P A) Sangma. That is why I want a consensus on presidential candidate."
On the candidature of Pranab Mukherjee, he said "He is a very good, capable and experienced person. On the other side, Sangma is also an experienced person. There should be a consensus on it."
Sinha further said "if there can be a consensus on presidential candidate then it will be better. Though post of the president is not powerful but it is very popular in the country. If a scholar is elected for the post who is able, capable and respectable then it is very good."

On Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's comment that NDA's Prime Ministerial candidate should be somebody with secular credentials, he said "this is democracy and every body has right to speak and every body also has his or her own views. But in democracy decision is taken on the basis of majority."
Without naming Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, he said "both the parties - the person who had said so and the person against whom it was meant to be - are our own."
Asked whether by raising the secular credential issue Nitish has indirectly expressed his ambitions, Sinha asked, "What ambition? Nitish is good and able chief minister, his works have been noticed by all. He is doing well. May be some people have different opinion about him but it is their view."
