Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha today complained to Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi about 'callous' attitude and 'negligence' by officials responsible to keep Patna clean and urged immediate steps to prevent waterlogging in major parts of the capital.

Sinha, the Lok Sabha member from Patna Saheb, urged the CM in a letter that if pump houses were constructed at Ashok Nagar and some other parts of Patna, large stretch of adjoining areas could be free from water logging.

"I would be grateful if you could extend adminstrative and technical guidance and support in making Patna clean, green and healthy," Sinha popularly known as "Bihari Babu" said in the letter, a copy of which has been made available to media.

Sinha had taken rounds in Rajendranagar and Kankerbagh pockets which reeled under inundation due to rains since August 13.

The actor-politician also drew attention of the CM to the 'serious' flood situation in Bakhtiyarpur, Khushrupur, Daniyawan and Fatuha block which falls in his Patna Saheb constituency.

"I would be obliged if arrangements could be made for quick medical aid, food distribution and fodder for animals," he said in his letter.

The second term BJP Parliamentarian congratulated shooter Shreyashi Singh who won silver medal in Commonwealth games recently.

In his letter to Manjhi, Sinha said he would love to join Bihar government in honouring Singh in an appropriate manner.
