Filmmaker Shawn Levy is set to direct the movie adaptation of video game "Uncharted".
The "Night at the Museum" director becomes the latest helmer on the long-gestating project that has seen Seth Gordon, David O Russell and Neil Burger get into the director's chair only to leave after the major development process, reported Deadline.
Avi Arad, Charles Roven, Alex Gartner and Ari Arad are producing.
The video game revolves around a treasure hunter named Nate Drake, a descendant of explorer Sir Francis Drake, who believes he has learned the whereabouts of the fabled golden South American city El Dorado from a cursed statue. His search for El Dorado becomes competitive when a rival hunter joins the fray.
