Shift headquarters of Chenab Power Projects to Kishtwar: NC

"We demand shifting of headquarters of Chenab Valley Power Projects from Jammu to Kishtwar in view of the fact that all the hydro-projects viz Pakal Dool, Kiru, Kwar and Ratle are being constructed in the Chenab Valley in Kishtwar district," NC spokesman Sajjad Kitchloo said in Kishtwar district.

Kitchloo also thanked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for starting construction of Pakal Dool, Kiru and Kwar hydro projects in Chenab Valley.

Addressing the public gathering, Political Advisor to the Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana said that the Omar Abdullah led government's comprehensive power generation initiatives will make the Chenab Valley an economic hub of the state.

 

"Unprecedented economic resurgence will happen in this part of the state in the next couple of years changing the scape of the entire sub-region thereby transforming the quality of life of the people of this area thanks to the vision of Omar Abdullah," he said.

The state government has initiated various power projects which include those at Ganderbal, Baglihar, Parnai, Sawalakote, Karthai, Lower Parnai among others, he said.
