He said the state and its capital, which is home to the scenic and clean environment and the hospitable people has set Shillong apart from the other places in the region.
The company which launches its retail store here in partnership with a local travel agency here, aims to expand their market reach and improving customer services.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma said, the north-east has to look beyond its domestic boundaries.
"We have to look beyond our boundaries to Bhutan, Bangladesh and neighbouring south-east Asian countries as the potential lies in moving together," he said.
Stating that "hospitality" is solely a responsibility of the people, the chief minister urged the people to come forward and partner with the government in exploiting the potential the state has in tourism.
