Shimla beat New Delhi 4-0 in DSA Senior Division Open

At interval, Shimla Youngs led 1-0 with Ajay opening the score in the 19th mintue. On changing ends, Sanjoy increased the tally to 2-0 in 57th minute, while Dhruv made it 3-0 in 86th mintue. Sanjoy again struck in the 90th mintue to make it 4-0.

New Delhi Heroes had themselves to blame for not encashing on the easy chances at the goal mouth on several occasions.

Shimla Youngs have collected 3 points from five matches and will play their last match against Hindustan on February 3 at Jasola. ND Heroes have only one point from 4 matches and have two remaining matches.

 

Later on, in another close encounter which was marred by unnecessary infringements made by players on both side, Solutrean-Hindustan Club rallied to hold Garhwal Heroes FC to a 1-1 draw to share equal points.

At DDA Jasola Comlex, Shahdara Club came from behind to hold BOM-Ahbab FC to 2-2 draw to split one point each in group-A.

Meanwhile, 80 probables turned up on first day of DSA open selection trials of Delhi State team for Santosh Trophy which begin at DDA Netaji Subhash Sports Complex, Jasola.
