Shirdi Saibaba temple gets over Rs 4.10 cr donation in 3 days

Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust here has received donations worth over Rs 4.10 crore, including cash and jewellery in the last three days, officer bearers of the Trust said.

"As many as 1.70 lakh devotees from different parts of the country visited the shrine to take 'darshan' of Saibaba in the last three days. The 96th death anniversary of Saibaba was observed on the day of Dussehra, for which people thronged the temple premises," Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust's executive officer Rajendra Jadhav said today.

The Trust received total donations worth Rs 4,10,77,000, which included cash and ornaments of gold and silver, he said.
 

"The offerings were received in donation boxes, online, during a procession in the city on October 3, also through donation counters set up on the temple premises. Some devotees gave cheques, demand drafts, while some others paid cash for free meal service," Jadhav said.

According to its accounts officer Dilip Zirpe, the Sansthan also received 9,000 notes of foreign currency in the donation boxes.
