Shiv Sena activists today held a protest against ceasefire violations along the IB and LoC in Jammu region by Pakistani army, while raising questions over the recently-held Indo-Pak dialogue.
"History is witness to the fact that Pakistan has always stabbed India in our back, be it the Lahore visit of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee which was followed by the Kargil war and now when Prime Minister Modi extended a hand of friendship, Pakistan is targeting civilians in Jammu," Ashok Gupta, president of Shiv Sena, Jammu said.
Pakistani troops today pounded a number of places along the International Border and Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu region with heavy firing and mortars, leaving four persons injured and triggering fear among the villagers, officials said.

Gupta said that in the backdrop of Pakistan army targeting Indian civilians, there was no need to resume dialogue with Pakistan.
He said that the ceasefire violations by Pakistan ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Jammu was an indication that the Pakistan army and its establishment do not care about the peace initiatives taken by the Indian side in Russia earlier this week.
"They have discarded all our peace initiatives and have proved that their elected prime minister is a dummy whereas the real power centre is their army and the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI)," Gupta said.
The Sena activists burnt Pakistani flag, raised slogans against the neighbour country and demanded a stern action against the Pakistani side.
