Shiv Sena Punjab to contest five LS seats

The Shiv Sena Punjab today said it would contest five Lok Sabha seats in Punjab in upcoming elections.

The party would contest Hoshiarpur, Khadoor Sahib, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar and Anandpur Sahib seats in Punjab, its state chief Sanjiv Dhanoli and senior vice-president Rajesh Palta said.

"We will announce names of party candidates for these Lok Sabha seats soon," they said.

"We have decided to plunge into the electoral fray as people have become disillusioned with traditional political parties.
