"Training in Sochi has been fun. Though I had an easy group, I am happy with the results and I look forward to the World Cup final on this track later on this winter," Shiva said.
Over 130 athletes from 30 countries will participate in this year's circuit in preparation for the 2014 Olympic Games to be held in Sochi, Russia.
The track in Sochi is one of the best in the world with a total length of 1.8 kilometres.
The highest achievable speed is 135 kmph. There are three uphill curves, which does not leave margin for error in this gravity sport.
"It is important for me to perform well in this pre-Olympic year, and thanks to my sponsors, I have been able to improve my condition," Shiva said.
The first World Cup competition will begin next week in Innsbruck, Austria.
