Shivendra, Yadav to get Rs 15 lakh from Maha government

"The Sports Ministry has decided that both Shivendra Singh and Narsingh Yadav will be given Rs 15 lakh each for their preparations for the London Olympic Games. We have already given a similar amount to (pistol shooter) Rahi Sornabat and (swimmer) Virdhawal Khade," said Maharashtra's Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Padmakar Valvi, at the "Monnet Go for Gold" torch relay function here today.

Both Shivendra and Yadav, the gold medal winners at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, are employed with the Railways and based in Mumbai.
