The SHO of Sadar police station, Brijesh Meena, is absconding since Tuesday, while the other accused were arrested yesterday by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB).

The accused, Jakir and Shamim, came in contact with Aassam's Sarju Kumar and his two friend, who were in the city to purchase an old dumper.

During the interaction, they came to know that the businessmen had around Rs 7 lakh cash and hatched a conspiracy to dupe them with the help of a 30-year-old woman.

On Tuesday, when the businessmen were at a road side hotel, the woman went near them and accused them of molesting her.

The SHO, allegedly as per the conspiracy, was also present there and arrested them.

The woman gave a fake written complaint to the SHO and he asked the businessmen to compromise with her.

Later, accused Jakir and Shamim asked the businessmen to give Rs 6 lakh to the woman to settle the matter.

To get rid of the unexpected situation, the businessmen gave them Rs. 5.5 lakh after which the SHO booked them under section 151 of CrPC for disturbing peace (instead of sections of molestation) and released them, officials said.

After being released the businessmen approached the ACB.

ACB, with the intervention of the district SP, raided the police station same night and recovered the complaint of the woman.

Soon after the ACB raid, the SHO fled the police station and is untraceable since then, ACB sources said.

Jakir, Shamim and the woman were arrested yesterday.

SP Alwar, Umesh Chand Dutta, said the SHO was absent without information and was being searched.
