SHO arrested for taking bribe in Raj

The Anti Corruption Bureau today arrested an SHO while accepting a bribe of Rs 16,000 from a liquor contractor from Budhadeeth police station in Kota district.

Dhanraj Meena, posted at the police station, was held while taking the bribe from Ravi Pratap, a liquor contractor in village, Circle in-charge, ACB Bundi, Tarun Kant Somani said.

Meena had demanded the bribe from Pratap for not interfering in the sale from his two liquor shops in Budhadeeth village. A complaint was lodged by Pratap on June 8 and a raid was carried out today in which the SHO was caught red-handed, he said.
 

The bribe amount was also recovered, Somani said, adding the SHO will be produced before the ACB court in Kota on Monday.
