The Station House Officer (SHO) of Kosi Kalan police station has been suspended for allegedly trying to protect a Haryana based builder who was involved in a road accident in which two beggars were killed.

"Narendra Yadav, the SHO of Kosi Kalan has been suspended for his alleged attempt to manipulate an accident in favour of a builder of Haryana," SSP Babloo Kumar said.

Two beggars were run over by a Scorpio in front of Shani Dev temple in Kokilavan Dham yesterday. As per the eyewitness, the SUV was in high speed when the accident took place.

SHO Yadav has been accused of impounding a Porsche car instead of the Scorpio involved in the accident.

According to police, one beggar identified as Bal Kishan died on the spot while the other succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

"SHONarendra Yadav tried to show accident from other car in order to favour the builder," Kumar said.

The other beggar could not be identified, they said. Further investigations in the case are underway.
