The 16,000 people that enter Writers' Buildings daily can now expect to get their shoes shined, but the administration modestly declared that it was not aimed to give a corporate look to the state secretariat.
Two shoe shine machines were installed by the PWD department in two wings of the first floor today, with two more to follow on the third floor for the 8,000 employees and an equal number of people that visit Writers' Buildings each day.
"This is not an attempt to give the state secretariat a corporate look, but employees can expect some minimum facilities in this age of modernisation," PWD sources said.
