Shooting films on trains to cost more

Railways imposed 3.708 per cent service tax on all AC classes and first class tickets from October 1.

The service tax decision is applicable to all passengers travelling in AC class and first class in suburban and local trains also, said a senior Railway Ministry official.

Railways will charge 3.708 per cent service tax on passengers travelling on season tickets, circular journey tickets, special trains and shooting on trains besides other regular trains in AC class and first class coaches.
