The accident took place on Captain Gaur Marg in Amar colony area at around 11.30 pm last night and the deceased has been identified as Ashok Kumar Sethi, a resident of Sri Niwaspuri area.
Sethi, who ran a grocery shop in Govindpuri, was returning home from his shop when the car jumped the central verge of the road and hit his motorcycle, police said.
Sethi sustained severe injuries and was declared brought dead in a nearby hospital.
Driver of the car fled the spot leaving the vehicle behind, police said adding the car is owned by one Ashok Kumar.
Kumar later told police that the car was being driven by his driver Satish, who had left on his own after dropping his family at a club in Panchsheel Park area.
A case has been registered and a hunt is on to nab Satish.
