Online marketplace ShopClues today said it appointed Harneet Singh as Vice President and Head Marketing.
Singh will oversee marketing strategy and brand building across channels covering online, offline, mobile, digital and strategic alliance partnerships, ShopClues said in a statement.
The appointment is in sync with Shopclues' path to profitability, ShopClues co-founder and CBO Radhika Aggarwal said.
Singh joins Shopclues from Zopper, a hyperlocal marketplace for electronics, where he was working as the Chief Business Officer.

Wipro offers IoT-based solution for wind parks * Country's third largest software services firm Wipro today announced a new IoT-based solution for wind parks and wind turbine manufacturers.
The solution manages wind turbines and associated IT infrastructure, including IT applications and security aspects to optimise operational expenditure, Wipro said in a statement.
It also provides a real time, executive dashboard that displays key business and IT-related information on wind park operations that enables wind park operators to act faster on critical issues.

Persistent Systems gets development rights from USAA * Persistent Systems today said it has inked an agreement with USAA for development rights to a number of patented innovations currently in use by the latter related to security in financial services.
"The development and intellectual property rights granted to Persistent stem from innovations that USAA uses to identify and verify members, while also protecting their privacy," Persistent said in a statement.
Persistent will focus on authentication and security solutions based on concepts like micro-trust, risk-aware, contextual, and personalisation in conjunction with technologies related to biometrics, risk modelling, and dynamic proofing.
