Shopkeeper murdered in outskirts of Nahan

A 40-year-old vegetable vendor was found murdered near near Shambhuwala, about 11-km from here today, police said.

The blood-stained body of Narender Dutt, resident of Rakhni village, was recovered from the bank of river Markanda near Shambhuwala, SP, Sirmaur, Soumya Sambsivan said.

Dutt who used to run a shop at Shambhuwala was murdered last night and his body was spotted by local residents, who informed the Nahan police, the SP said.

The body had multiple wounds.

A police team led by Additional SP Vinod Dhiman has started investigations and a case has been registered under IPC section 302 (murder), the SP said.
 

The body has been handed over to family members after post-mortem, he said.

No arrest has been made so far, he added.
