Shopsity in talks to raise USD 8 mn; gets seed funding

Shopsity, an app that shows products available at nearby stores is in talks with venture capitalists to raise USD 8 million in the next two months.

The city-based firm has recently raised seed funding from ShopClues founder Sandeep Aggarwal and Teruhide Sato, founder of Netprice, Shopsity said in a statement.

Led by former CEO of Yebhi.Com Danish Ahmed, Shopsity has listed thousands of stores from Delhi/NCR, allowing customers to see products selling at Woodland, Redtape, W, Mufti, Nike, Levis and other leading stores.

MFIN launches helpline number for MFI customers * Microfinance Institutions Network (MFIN) has launched a helpline number for the customers of microfinance institutions to register grievances.
 

"By launching the helpline, we want the micro-finance customers to be assured of a fair and transparent mechanism for redressal of their grievances," MFIN CEO Ratna Vishwanathan said in a statement here today.

The helpline number-- 181002700317, will be available between 0900 hrs and 1730 hrs, five days a week. The helpline will also available in different vernacular languages.
