The first short film based on 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign in Haryana was today released by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here.
He appreciated the role of each artiste and said that such films will help in giving a new direction to the society.
Later, he interacted with the cast of 'Janaki'.
Khattar said that the sex ratio in Haryana has improved due to the concerted efforts made by the state government.
Steps are being taken to change the mindset of the people towards daughters and films like 'Janaki' will help in achieving the goal, he added.
The film producer Ramesh Singhal said the movie shows that daughters are no less than sons and they too can make their families proud.
