Shot at border, illegal Bangladeshi entrant dies

An illegal Bangladeshi entrant who had been shot at by Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Kisanganj district died at a hospital here today.

BSF men opened fire on the illegal entrant from Bangladesh near Phulwaria border outpost last evening, Deputy Commandant of 146th BSF battalion Kamlesh Meena said.

The Bangladeshi was shot at when he did not stop despite warning by the border guards, he said.

The injured man was taken to Kisanganj Medical College and Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries today, Meena said.

The man has been identified as Mohammad Razzak (25), a resident of Baliayadangi district of Bangladesh.
 

Videography of post-mortem of the dead was done today in presence of Block Development Officer and Circle Officer.
